Most of us hardly give the bladder a second thought, unless we have a problem. However, bed wetting is more common than you would think, and the need to run to the loo more often than we might like to, is also an issue for many people. While the bladder would appear to be a relatively insignificant organ in the scheme of things, it has a vitally important role to play. In other posts, I have mentioned that we are basically energy beings, whether we believe it or not. The reality is that much of what is going on in our world is happening outside of our five senses. There are many influences on our body that can be harmful and we don’t know even they are there.

So, what has this got to do with the bladder? Well, every human being has an acupuncture system that supports and maintains the physical body. In fact, there are 14 major organs and 14 major acupuncture systems. It is interesting to note that the heart, which is a pretty important organ from our perspective, has nine acupuncture points on its meridian (a meridian is the channel through which acupuncture energy flows). The liver has 14 acupuncture points, and the lung has 11. But, surprise surprise, the bladder meridian has 67 points! When you investigate this, it becomes evident that the reason it has so many points, is because this is the meridian that soaks up all the stress from all the other systems when they are overloaded.

In a way, it acts like a capacitor in an electrical circuit which takes up the overload and sends it back into the circuit when you can handle it. However, if there is too big a load and the energy cannot be redistributed, physical bladder problems can occur and this can include frequency and discomfort when passing urine. Very often these problems have nothing to do with infections in the bladder or kidney, but have everything to do with stress in our lives and our inability to cope. So the cure for these problems is to deal with the stress and the cause rather than trying to treat the symptoms.

There are many excellent and simple techniques that you can learn to use in the world of natural healing. These techniques can make a huge difference and we will be bringing these to you on the NHD website in the coming months. In the meantime, if you suspect that a bladder/kidney problem has an infection involved, and you have tried antibiotics that didn’t work very well, you might try taking D-Mannose powder. I have written a separate post on this product and how it works. Click here to read it now.
